Shri Badarinath Dham

Shri Badrinath Dham – The Abode of Lord Vishnu

Located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, Shri Badrinath Dham is one of the most revered pilgrimage sites in India. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, it is part of the Char Dham Yatra and the Chota Char Dham circuit. Situated at an altitude of 3,133 meters, the temple is surrounded by the stunning Nar-Narayan mountain ranges and the sacred Alaknanda River.

According to Hindu mythology, Lord Vishnu meditated here under a Badri tree, giving the place its name. The temple, established by Adi Shankaracharya, remains open from April-May to October-November and attracts thousands of devotees seeking spiritual enlightenment.

The hot water spring Tapt Kund, nearby Mana Village, and scenic beauty make Badrinath a must-visit pilgrimage destination.
