Nestled in the majestic Garhwal Himalayas, Shri Kedarnath Jyotirlinga Temple is one of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Located at an altitude of 3,583 meters, it is a revered pilgrimage site and a key part of the Char Dham Yatra.
Believed to be built by the Pandavas and later revived by Adi Shankaracharya, the temple stands as a symbol of faith and devotion. Pilgrims undertake a challenging 16 km trek from Gaurikund, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and divine energy.
Kedarnath Temple opens in April-May and remains accessible till October-November, closing for winter when the deity is moved to Ukhimath. Thousands of devotees visit each year seeking spiritual bliss and Lord Shiva’s blessings.
